As Managing Director, Pedro is responsible for the fulfillment of the strategic and commercial plan of dichter & neira in Ecuador.

Leopoldo Neira


Founder of dichter & neira in 1985, where he served as its Executive President until 2012.

During his management, the company expanded throughout Central America, the Caribbean, and Colombia. Since 2012, Leopoldo has been President of the Board of Directors of dichter & neira. Leopoldo has a degree in Psychology from the University of Santa María la Antigua in Panama, a Masters in Special Education from the Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois, USA, and a PhD in Educational Psychology from the same University.

Gabriel Neira


As CEO of dichter & neira, Gabriel has the responsibility of managing all the company’s areas of business.

Gabriel began his professional career at Coca-Cola Panama, then joined the market research industry, where he has developed for the rest of his career, accumulating more than 15 years of experience in the field. At dichter & neira, he has held various positions such as Field Manager, Project Manager, Vice President of Research and Development, and Regional Vice President.

He is a member and country representative for ESOMAR, the global association of professional market researchers, and has a degree in Marketing from the University of Santa María la Antigua in Panama, a Masters in Marketing Research and Information Systems from the ESIC Business and Marketing School in Spain, and an MBA from Notre Dame University in the USA. He has also completed executive studies at Harvard Business School, Stanford GSB, The Wharton School, and others.

Julio Ortiz

Executive VP

Executive Vice President of dichter & neira’s head office, Julio is responsible for Operations, Finances, and Technology. Julio leads the implementation of innovation processes, financial structuring, and the proper functioning of all operational areas.

With more than 20 years of work experience in the field of business and administration, Julio has worked for a variety of manufacturing and service organizations in the United States, Colombia, and Central America.

Julio has a degree in Economics from Universidad del Rosario in Colombia and holds a Master’s in Finance, Administration, and Sciences in Production and Operations from Drexel University, USA. He has also completed executive studies at schools like the Harvard Business School, Chicago Booth, and Kellogg School.

Alejandro Del Valle

Executive VP Latin America North

Executive Vice President Latin America North, Alejandro is responsible for directing the commercial efforts of the organization from Panama to Mexico. He has been the principal manager and development promoter in the retail business area in the region.

With more than 30 years experience in market research agencies, he has occupied important positions like Brand Manager for Black & Decker Mexico, Marketing Director for Nielsen Mexico, and Director of Business Development for Latin America and Director General for Central America and the Caribbean for Nielsen Latin America.

Alejandro has a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico and conducted post graduate studies in marketing from the same university. He studied Senior Management at the IPADE school of business and conducted post graduate studies on Organizational Leadership, as well as executive studies on organized commerce at the Harvard Business School and the IESE Business School in Spain.

Juan Carlos Niño

VP Strategic Latam

Vice President of Strategic Clients, Juan is responsible for the strategic and commercial management of the trade, retail, and customer businesses in the region, and leads the development of strategic accounts in Latin America.

With more than 25 years of experience in consulting and market research, his professional career began in Ipsos – Napoleón Franco, occupying positions in the areas of operations and account management. He was director of strategic accounts for the Andean region for Kantar Insights, and was responsible for opening Kantar’s operations in Peru, holding the position of Managing Director.

Later he was Research Manager at the Bank of Bogotá and Insights manager for ABInBev – Bavaria, with responsibilities in portfolio strategy, innovation, and PRGM. Juan Carlos has a degree in Marketing, with a post graduate degree from the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, and has completed executive studies at the IE Business School, IESE Business School and INCAE Business School.

Alejandra Restrepo

Managing Director Panamá

As Managing Director for Panama, Alejandra is responsible for the fulfillment of the company’s strategic and commercial plan in the country.

With more than 20 years experience with multinationals and the mass consumption industry, technology industries, and the securities industry, she has experience in relationship management with key regional accounts in Central America and the Caribbean, development of Business Intelligence and Commercial Information Platforms, and consumer, retailer, shopper, and industry research. She has extensive experience in continuous brand studies and research analytics. Additional, she has experience in brand development and renewal, new product development and improving business profitability, and developing pricing strategies.

Alejandra is an Industrial Engineer with an MBA with a specialization in Marketing, as well as a leadership development program from INCAE.

Erik Morales

South Latam Director

As South Latam Director Erik is responsible for leading all dichter & neira’s retail and trade solutions in the region.

He has achieved significant achievements developing and implementing projects in the Store Execution region with image recognition technologies. He previously led various projects at Kantar Insights as a director and also at advertising and media agencies advising clients from the planning and Research area.

Erik has a degree in marketing with a masters in consumer psychology from the Konrad Lorenz University, with more than 15 years of experience in market research.

Lina Bermudez

Customer Director

As Managing Director, Lina is responsible for the fulfilment of the strategic and commercial plans of the company for Costa Rica and Nicaragua.

In her professional career she has lead trade marketing projects with the principal manufacturers in Central America, with extensive experience with the main retailers in the region. 

Lina is a Systems Engineer with a Masters in Consumer Psychology and in Marketing. She has more than 15 years of experience in the design, implementation, and analysis of market intelligence and research projects and strategic plans, as well as extensive knowledge about project management, marketing strategies, and brand development.

Iván Carrillo

Managing Director of CAM Norte

Managing Director of CAM Norte, Iván is responsible for developing the commercial strategy and customer service from Honduras to the north.

He has obtained important achievements in d&n, initially as Commercial Director of the Retail area for CAM and during the last years leading the Strategic Accounts team, accompanying the strategy of important clients of the FMCG industry such as Nestlé and P&G with solutions both Ad hoc and Trade and Retail. He previously worked leading the Client Service teams in companies such as Dunnhumby Colombia, Kantar Worldpanel and GfK Colombia, the latter in which he implemented the panel of durable goods retailers.

Iván has a degree in Business Administration, with a master’s degree in Marketing Intelligence from ESIC Business & Marketing School and executive studies in Negotiation Strategies and Coaching among others and has more than 16 years of experience in the market research industry.

Carolina Andrade

Director of Marketing and Communication

A Publicist with a master’s in strategic management and marketing economy, Carolina has more than 20 years of professional experience with communications companies like Radio Joven Pan, TV Rede Record and the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo, as well as market research experience, working for ten years in Kantar Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador.

Her years of experience in marketing and her solid knowledge of branding, strategic planning, public relations, market intelligence, event organization, and social media planning and content provide her with distinct leadership abilities to achieve business objectives, enabling growth and a data-driven mindset.

She is currently responsible for the marketing and communication area of dichter and neira, in charge of developing studies that provide the best insights to clients and the media, promoting the brand and improving consumer information in the market.

As Managing Director, Gonzalo is responsible for compliance with the company’s strategic and commercial plan for Peru.

In his professional career, he has led the market research area for 18 years in the companies Unilever Andean region, British American Tobacco Peru & Ecuador, SABMiller (ABInbev) Latin America and Kimberly Clark Andean region.

Gonzalo has an MBA from ESAN Graduate School of Business and has been teaching the Market Research course there for 22 years.

Pedro Salvador

Managing Director

As Managing Director, Pedro is responsible for the fulfillment of the strategic and commercial plan of dichter & neira in Ecuador.
Pedro has more than 10 years of experience, where he has served as Revenue Manager at NielsenIQ, leading the relationship with multinational clients such as Coca-Cola, Nestlé, P&G, Mondelez, Diageo, among others, as well as being part of Kellogg. Ecuador as Key Account Manager.
He has a degree in Business and International Relations from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and a Master’s in Business Intelligence from the University of Barcelona.
